It's back! With the goal of bringing a little cheer to patients in the hospital during the holiday season, the deviantART Holiday Card Project connects deviants from around the world and applies their tremendous artistic abilities in designing and creating uplifting holiday cards.
In past years, the Project has received more than 5,000 cards sent in by more than 1,000 deviants from 50 different countries/political regions. Cards were then divvied up and distributed in-person by deviantART members to local Los Angeles, CA hospitals, with additional cards given to various hospitals in the U.S. and abroad for hospital staff members to hand out

A new method to promote and discover art has been released to the community in the form of Tags! When submitting art, adding relevant tags to your deviations will help viewers discover art of interest to them and give your work more exposure.
You can add tags based on a variety of things, be it subject matter, themes, medium used, fandom, or anything else you feel is important.
Use these tips to make the most of tags and help your art to find its audience:
Keep it simple. The less complicated the tag, the easier your art is to discover.
Be specific. If you take a picture of a rose, tagging it as #flower, while correct, won’t get your

Hi everybody! :) It's been a long time since I've posted a journal here (I see so many journal entries dated over a year ago that start out JUST LIKE THIS! I'm going to be unique and not promise to be more active.) so I thought I'd give updates.
First of all, I DID pass my driver's test the second. Since then, though, I lost my license for several months after my car skidded in a puddle (stupid BMV. It pissed me off so much that I became a libertarian.) - and I've been driving again for a little over a month now! So yeah, that was a thing. Honestly the biggest reason I wanted to post a journal is because I've been actually commenting and usi

“When I left high school, I had all my plans to go to college, but I had no money. And I decided then, the best thing for me to do is not worry about getting money to go to college — I will educate myself. I walked down the street, I walked into a library, I would go to the library three days a week for ten years and I would educate myself. It’s all FREE, that’s the great thing about libraries! Most of you can afford to go to college, but if you wanna educate yourself completely, go to the library and educate yourself. When I was 28 years old, I graduated from Library.”
 Love is in the air!
Valentine's Day is right around the corner, and we're big on love here at deviantART! Whether it's the love of someone's gallery, the glomping of that friend who's always there for you, or the devotion you share with that special someone, February 14th is the perfect day to remind those around you how much they bring to your life. One of the great Valentine's Day traditions is giving and receiving heartfelt messages between friends, family, lovers, or even secret admirers. This year, we wanted to add digital deviance to the tradition by introducing the Great Valentine Exchange!
 How does it work?
